This Cookie Policy explains how AS/point Software und Beratungsgesellschaft mbH ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with the Splitly mobile application and the Splitly website at https://splitlymobile.com (collectively, the "Service").

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle information.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites may place on your browser or device when you visit them. They can be used to remember preferences, maintain sessions, measure traffic, deliver advertising, and support website functionality. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, scripts, and device identifiers.

2. Cookies on the Website

Splitlymobile.com is a static informational website. It currently uses only the technologies necessary to operate and secure the website, and it does not set any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We do not currently use:

• analytics cookies or third-party analytics services;
• advertising or attribution cookies;
• social media cookies or embedded social content; or
• a consent-management banner, because there are no optional cookies to consent to.

If we ever introduce optional cookies, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent before they are used.

3. Local Storage in the App

The Splitly app does not use browser cookies — native mobile applications generally do not. Instead, the app uses standard on-device local storage to keep your records (bills, splits, groups, people, expenses, settlements, history) and your preferences (default currency, default tip, default number of people).

This storage is local to your device. It is not transmitted to us, cannot be read by us, and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no advertising SDKs. Its only network use is displaying the in-app Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages.

4. Third Parties

We do not place third-party cookies on the website, and the app does not embed third-party content that could set identifiers. If you follow a link from the website to an external site — for example, Google Play — that site may use its own cookies and technologies under its own policies, which we do not control.

5. Your Controls

Because the website sets no cookies, there is nothing for you to accept or reject here. You can still control related technologies on your side:

• your browser settings let you view, delete, and block cookies for any website you visit;
• your Android device settings let you clear the Splitly app's data or uninstall the app, which removes all locally stored records and preferences;
• Google Play processes its own information when you download or update the app, under Google's privacy policy.

6. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, technologies we use, or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised. Where required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice or request renewed consent for material changes.
