Splitly is an offline-first bill splitter and shared-expense calculator for Android, made by AS/point Software und Beratungsgesellschaft mbH. It works like a calculator for everyday bills and keeps a record for longer-running shared costs.
Why we built it
Anyone who regularly pays for things together knows the problem: who ordered what, who paid, whether the tip was included, and who still owes whom. The arithmetic is easy to get wrong, and the memory is worse — awkward to untangle after the fact.
Splitly does the arithmetic and keeps the memory. It calculates shares, tracks who paid what, and suggests the fewest transfers to square up. Settlements are recorded by hand once they happen outside the app — Splitly never moves money.
What we deliberately left out
Splitly is intentionally narrow. It does not move money, connect to banks, convert currencies, scan receipts, send reminders, or sync to the cloud. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.
Everything you record lives on your device. The only network use is viewing the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service inside the app.
Clarity
One large amount owns each screen. Balances are mint when you're owed and coral when you owe — always the same rule.
Fairness
Every share is calculated in whole cents, and the shares always add up to the bill. Nobody quietly pays an extra cent.
